ote EARLY for Brett
on Friday, April 3rd at Town Hall

Or on Monday, April 6th
Or by absentee ballot from Town Hall.

Goals for Next Term if Elected:

1. Concerned about the state of our police force. I believe they are
doing an incredible job and I am unhappy that the current mayor has
tried to abolish the department with hopes of utilizing the County
Sheriffs Department! This is a very costly measure. This would
greatly reduce the visual presence of law enforcement in town and
could pose a threat to us as citizens. Also response times in the
event of an emergency will be much longer again posing another threat to our community!

2. Water/Waste Water is an immediate concern and currently is being
worked on by Tom. This has to be done ASAP as the State mandates
this. We have time lines to meet and stimulus money to try and
acquire! I would like to address another possibility that looks
great for the community. Looking into this other venture allows us a
back up plan If for some reason we do not acquire the stimulus
money. In addition this other option also far surpasses the
technology and "green" aspect of the current plan we are moving
forward with.

3. Roads and bridges are yet another concern for most of us in town.
Many times I get complaints from customers of how the town is so
beautiful but the streets are so horrible! I believe we can address
this easily. Argentine and the Scenic Byway will be taking care of
the obvious unpleasant road! For "our" streets I believe asphalt is
very costly being an oil product! utilizing our grader, bringing in
material that is more easily repairable and utilizing or public work
crew we can manage to have roads considerably more smooth and
maintain them better too.

4. Increasing sales tax 1% generates approximately $120,000. I
believe this to be necessary as most other towns are far above this
and the money can be dedicated toward promoting Tourism or Road
and Bridges.

5. I want to see Georgetown grow and prosper to its true potential. I
believe we can do this by preserving what Georgetown is. If we allow
corporate stores to invade our historic town we will increase
revenues but lose our "Historic" representation. Ridge-line
development is another aspect that threatens our historic nature. If
we can find away to work the alternative energy from wind away from
the ridge-line we could create a win win situation!
